THE DESIGNER
Harriet van den Bosch
It's no coincidence Harriet van den Bosch called her company NIAGARA, the Canadian born lived only a stone throws away from the Falls.
On moving to her native Holland, she went on to study graphic-and fashion design for 6 years.
Hell-bent on gathering vital experience, she styled for Dutch - Belgian swimwear and underwear Manufacturers for 5 years.
With her sights set on her own label and the shear desire to succeed, Harriet launched NIAGARA in 1991.
HER VIEW
NIAGARA is known for it's very pure shapes, with a feminin-masculin connotation, both simple and advanced!
At NIAGARA we offer simple, yet fashionable styles with the right proportions and an excellent fit.
We feel a successfull design is absolute original, yet looks as if it has always been there...
Our style is young, feminine, for women of all ages, referencing a previous era, while adapting it's sexual innocence and
decency to contemporary times.
All styles, not only the underwire-styles, are cut in shapes to support the bust. The legs are low or natural cut, for a secure fit.
NIAGARA has been available in fashionhouses as
DRIES VAN NOTEN'S MODEPALEIS [Antwerpen - Belgium],
UNDERWEAR [Brussel - Belgium],
BARNEY'S [USA],
KASHIYAMA [France],
UNITED ARROWS, SEIBU [Japan]. |
